Luau Invitations

A Luau invitation deserves to be as funky and fun as the party itself. These are some ideas on how to create them.The invitation cards help to set the mood for the party.

A Luau invitation provides a great opportunity to be completely creative; out of the box. The invitations need not be at all expensive and you can even create a unique customized invitation by using clip art images along with a sprinkling of Hawaiian words on your office computer. The cards can be made fun by using some cloth or paper with colorful tropical prints.

A fun way to send an invitation would be to attach a pair of colorful sunglasses or a flower hair comb or bracelet, and mail them in a thick envelope or get them hand delivered. Your invite should mention how you want your guests to dress up for your party. If it is a pool party, ask your guests to bring along a swimsuit and towel.If you are good with design programs then you can even create an email invitation.

It might be a good idea to make sure that the invitations are actually color- and style-coordinated with the party itself. For example, if the party has white furnishings, the invite could be a lacy white one. If the party involves a pool, then blue hues and maybe some sharks will do the trick. The idea is to mentally prepare your guests for the exact type of luau you are throwing.
